Aquarius Horoscope for March 2017

You are coming into another month of intensity, Aquarius, but you will be taking something away from it in terms of increased understanding of your innermost values. There is a major axis in the current astrology along which brilliant concepts can flow, that has been growing in influence in recent weeks, peaking in March. If you are feeling stuck in certain ways, or on the horns of a dilemma, innovative ideas and creative solutions are available that can help you to find a third alternative. You are very invested now in discovering the true underlying motivation of all that you do. Your values are shifting and your relationship to your finances also. You could encounter challenges to your ideals, or vague goals, or might even find outright deception to deal with. As you look more thoroughly below the surface layers of your psyche, you are potentially exploring every aspect of what makes you tick. You win when you pay the closest possible attention to everything that happens to you.

Your month begins closely following a solar eclipse (Feb 26th) in your 2nd house of finances, resources, and livelihood. This is exciting. Solar eclipses bring new beginnings. They open doors. Traditionally the second house referred to money and resources or livelihood because the sign occupying the 2nd place of the wheel would, in time, become the first house (by primary motion of the signs rotating through the sky). The idea was thus that whatever is in the 2nd will be brought to the native (1st house) in time…hence the reference to what a person might grow in their garden or on their land, or what they might bring forth from within at some point in the future. So, this month you begin the process of working toward something that, in time, will yield fruit.

Meanwhile, all month long you are experiencing the dynamic opposition between Jupiter in Libra in your 9th house of higher mind and Uranus in Aries in your 3rd house of curiosity, communication, and learning. Additionally, as of March 4th, Venus will station and then begin her retrograde in the sign of Aries, also in your 3rd house. The 9th house was traditionally associated with religion, spirituality, philosophy, the law, and to some extent politics. The 3rd was associated with brethren, siblings, and local cults. The 9th was the joy of the Sun, called “God,” and the 3rd was the joy of the Moon, called “Goddess.” With these houses lit up by the Jupiter/Uranus opposition and the Venus retrograde, you may find yourself torn between two different ways of thinking, acting, and behaving, perhaps one more active and masculine and the other more receptive and feminine, or you may seek for practical ways to implement or give voice to your beliefs in the world.
The 3rd house Venus retrograde also emphasizes the importance of revising or reevaluating a communication strategy, potentially within significant relationships. You may also find that various ideological or philosophical differences play a strong role within your friendships or even between you and your siblings this month.
Aquarians love big-minded ideas, but sometimes Aquarians will hold onto their ideas at the cost of an empathetic, human response. This month the question might be how to nurture or grow something from start to finish, with care and sensitivity, and you may find that in order to do so you’re having to revise your approach to communicating with others. Remember that being wrong is often an intelligent strategy for future success. Remember, too, that being right doesn’t have to happen at the cost of someone else being wrong. If we believe in the virtue of our dreams and goals, if we trust that they will come to us in time, then we can avoid the temptation of holding too tightly to our visions in the earliest stages of development, when everything is most vulnerable. Gentleness now wins hearts and minds over time.
