This is in some ways a difficult month for you, Gemini, although it need not be, provided that you can detect what it is that you most sincerely value, on the inside. The energy comes at you from all directions, and so this can be a confusing time. You could be puzzled about career opportunities and your true desire in that department of life. You are operating in the real world in quite an idealized way, with a spiritual bent. You are looking toward the future in some very new and different ways, and as your ruler, Mercury, goes through its retrograde cycle from April 9th to mid-May, counting the period of the retrograde shadow, you will more deeply explore your options. You are both drawn to new horizons and also somewhat fearful of what you are leaving behind, so that it is fortunate that you have an interesting time of introspection to be able to more thoroughly sort things out.

This April is as diverse and dynamic as are all the members of your sign, with many different energies expressing themselves and interacting. This month is surely one that will keep you engaged and on your toes, beginning with the active Aries New Moon of March 27th, initiating the current cycle. Your goals, dreams, and sense of belonging come to the fore, yet there is also quite a lot of stop/go, expand/contract, push/pull energy present, as well. This can therefore be a confusing time, especially if you rely on your conscious mind alone, and the power of logical thinking. Call, instead, upon your sense of intuition to carry you. The gift of this dynamic energy is the ample opportunity for potent growth and transformation; the pitfall lies in defaulting to polarities of black and white thinking, or getting spun out into fear and overwhelm. Remember to take deep breaths and to feel your body resting on the earth beneath you. Your mind is sharp, and yet it simply does not have all the answers. There will be many unexpected turns of events along the way this month, so that you do well to simply try to roll with the punches allowing yourself the faith to know that all will continue to change and morph in the weeks to come. There are many potentials for you in the etheric wings, just waiting to burst forth into form, so this is an entirely important time to take stock of where you are truly at, and to be very conscious of whether you are manifesting old pain patterns, or new emerging ideals that are in alignment with your highest good.

Venus has been on her retrograde journey, journeying backward through the zodiac through Aries, and for you this brings to the surface issues of your values, relationship ideals, and feelings self-worth. It will be important to tend to any feelings of scarcity or unworthiness that continue to come up for you by dropping down inside. How do you slow down and tend to your inner self when you are faced with your fears, feeling judged, or sensing like you’re not enough' As you push the edges of your comfort zone on your quest to contribute your unique gifts to the world, these internal voices will undoubtedly arise, telling you all kinds of stories about how it’s not possible, or you don’t deserve it, or that it’s a fool’s errand. Take heart that there’s also an infinite supply of positive energy available from the universe when you ask for it, to help support and comfort you whenever you’re feeling scared or doubtful. In opening yourself to this divine power inherent in the Universe, you can re-write these old, outworn stories as new tales of a tapped-in, lit up, and fully-empowered YOU, and ultimately learn to love yourself more in the process.

Around the time of the Libra Full Moon on the 10th, there are some big stirrings that could present challenges or trigger sublimated anger you didn’t even know was there. This could arise most acutely in the realms of partnership or work relationship. You may feel a lack of recognition around what you offer, and perhaps some resentment around your interactions, there. As long as it is not directed outward in blame, anger can be seen as a very helpful messenger signaling that you may need to re-think or re-orient yourself around boundaries. Where are you giving away too much of yourself? Where are you abandoning your authentic expression to appease another? As you contemplate these issues, your creativity and innovative ways can help buoy you through any turbulence that does arise. In fact, it’s in the face of challenge that your unique brilliance can really shine through, and finding creative solutions will help direct the energy, and bring expanded perspectives to any limitation or restriction. Be gentle to yourself in this process. Your ruling planet, Mercury, goes retrograde on the 9th, so there’s a lot up for introspection, renegotiation and reflection. It’s not a time to throw the baby out with the bath water, as it were, and start over just because you’re frustrated. Let the universe have its way. When you can tend dutifully to the seeds you’ve already sewn, you are ahead of the game and you can know that your effort will be rewarded once the retrograde period has passed and you have made your way through this potentially difficult time. Continue to reach for the dreams and goals that you can really stand up for, representing your truest and most cherished values.
