Sagittarius Horoscope for March 2017

This month is yet another instance of intensity, uncertainty, and introspection, Sagittarius, the culmination of a series of such months. Surprising and perhaps startlingly unexpected events abound, and yet these all have something to teach you, when you look at them objectively. If you have the habit of projecting your own ideas into interpreting the details of whatever you experience, now would be a good time to abandon that practice, preferring to take each moment of the day as an entirely fresh start. You are exploring new beginnings in home and family matters, and for better understanding of what drives your behavior from below the level of consciousness. Old patterns can trip you up unless and until you are willing to consider ditching them for a different alternative. All the while you are very focused on establishing a life plan for yourself that takes inner priorities more firmly into account.

Alright Sagittarius, you’ve got less than one year left with Saturn in your first house. The school of learning, wisdom, and hard knocks, is almost over. Saturn began in your first house in December of 2014 and has largely been with you since then, potentially effecting your health, your inner life, relationships, and well…everything! Coming into March of 2017, you just recently encountered a solar eclipse (Feb 26th) in your 4th house of home, family, psychological roots, and foundations. The eclipse happened in a whole-sign square to your 1st house, which means you may be experiencing some significant changes on the home front, or with property or family matters generally. With Saturn simultaneously in your first house, it’s possible that these changes on the home front are requiring more wisdom, responsibility, discernment, and maturity from you. The good news is that Saturn in your first house has been preparing you for moments like these for a few years now. You’re ready for the gravity of this moment. You can handle it. And in time things will become light and fluid again; a solar eclipse in Pisces – in your home sector – offers that hope, despite the potential weight you may feel with Saturn in the first.

Meanwhile as of March 4th, Venus will station and then begin her retrograde in your 5th house. Along with Uranus’ opposition to Jupiter in your 11th house, this will be in effect all month long. The 5th and 11th houses often bring up divisions between “my way” or “my creative approach” and “our way” or the feelings or sentiments of others we work with or share an allegiance with. This is therefore a month where you may be experiencing creative tensions with others, and you might be asking yourself how much of your own vision you should compromise within a group or creative partnership. Traditionally, the 5th and 11th houses were called good fortune and good spirit. The 11th was the joy of Jupiter and the 5th the joy of Venus. With these good-natured houses highlighted this month you may find that you are undergoing something of a creative renaissance or rebirthing, and you may find unique forms of support suddenly appearing out of nowhere. However, with Saturn in your first house it’s likely that there is still a seriousness and gravity to whatever projects or opportunities you’re involved with. The Jupiter/Uranus dynamic is intimately involved, for example, with the intense political turmoil and revolutionary climate we’re living in right now, which has a gravity and seriousness that is palpable. As a Sagittarius, you are constantly called to apply your fiery spirit toward those virtues and values you feel are superior to the rest. Sometimes our fiercest stands ideologically become the ground for a creative project or collaboration. This along with big changes on the home front capture the headlines for you right now!
