Today Venus moves into the sign of Virgo. Venus is the planet of love, relationships, earthly delights and beauty, and the archetype of Virgo is largely to do with refinement, quality, and purity. With Venus in Virgo, you may notice a yearning for control and order in your aesthetics of your exterior world, or in your connection with others. The way Virgo loves is through a lens that is analytical, yet is also striving for nothing but the best. This could potentially manifest as critical thoughts of self and others or overly perfectionistic expectations of partners and relationships in general, perhaps resulting in disappointment. In the more positive way to look at this you could experience a yearning for a degree of pureness and innocence in connecting with others; you may seek environments where you feel safe enough to let your heart fully open and bask in the grace of love and connection, and find that being in the service of opening another?s heart a most satisfying endeavor. As the 14th century priest Thomas à Kempis wrote: "He who loves with purity considers not the gift of the lover, but the love of the giver."
