Autumn Equinox and Pluto: Balance in the Journey of Transformation

This year the Autumnal Equinox of September 22nd also coincides with Pluto stationing to direct motion. Pluto has been in retrograde since April and as it stations, it appears to come to a standstill in the sky; this has an amplifying effect on his influence, which is associated with transformation, hidden depths, and power. During this time there could be instances of intensity and drama that surface - perhaps as something deep inside of you comes bubbling to the surface without warning. You could feel the tumult, and the deep desire within you that has been momentarily brought to the surface. This is therefore a good time to get in touch with your deepest nature, and that place within you from where you draw your personal power.

The coinciding of this with the Autumn Equinox - representing the day when there is a balance between dark and light, as the length of day becomes equal to night - is interesting to explore. There is a certain somber quality to this day and time of year, as the brightness of summer fades and turns to fall, heading into the darkness of winter. This moment in time could be seen as a supportive gesture from the universe, providing a sense of balance and clarity, as we take the warriors journey into the darkness and depths within ourselves.
