Taurus Horoscope for March 2017

This is a month that takes you away from ordinary pursuits, Taurus, the better to allow you to return, eventually, to your more authentic self. There are several indications in the astrological currents swirling about you now that you are passing through a deeply meditative time when much of what seems to be on the table for you is shifting and morphing. You may have become dissatisfied lately with future prospects, and yet, this month, finding renewed optimism. With a powerful emphasis on inner work, you are looking to the inside for better answers. Your ruler, Venus, is retrograding for most of the month in this same sector, so that you are driven further inward. Due to this retrograde cycle, Venus, now in Aries, will not enter your sign until early June. You are thus in the midst of a months-long period of reassessment, and of increasing meditative awareness, that you do well to make the most of.

The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School:

For Taurus the month begins right after a solar eclipse (Feb 26th) opens new doors through your house of friends, wishes, allies, and hopes for the future. Taurus is dreaming big this month and likely finding the support to move forward thanks to new opportunities opening at just the right time and in just the right place. However, there is a warning for you this month as well, since it begins with Venus, the Moon, Mars, and Uranus all conjoined in Aries in your 12th house, opposite to Jupiter in your 6th. Despite being set up for success, you may find that you are having to work extraordinarily hard to finish something or to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity. When your ruler, Venus, turns retrograde on March 4th, you will feel a distinct shift to an introspective turn of mind. Additionally, you might feel inner doubt, turmoil, or questioning about the validity or plausibility of your dreams and goals. You might also find that you are being directly challenged, or indirectly undermined, by people around you who are jealous, insecure, or seeking revenge.

On March 10th, Mars will enter your first house and it’s likely that at this point you will have decided whether you’re going to stick with it or if you’re feeling the sting of defeat. If your dream is rooted in good intentions, and is free from selfish or destructive desires, then keep going and don’t give up. As the month goes on, you may find that your stamina, tolerance, and inner strength are rising to support you.

On the Full Moon of March 12th, the Full Moon falls across your 5th and 11th houses, and squares Saturn in your 8th house. This combination may bring up the subject of friends, allies, children, creativity, and other people’s resources or money. You might find yourself considering a fresh tactic or strategy for meeting the ongoing challenges of the month. You may find that you must make a choice about what kind of help or assistance you need and where you can or can’t compromise when it comes to your goals and dreams.

On March 20th, the Spring Equinox moves the Sun into the sign of Aries and into your 12th house. As the ruler of the 4th house, the Sun moving into the 12th may have you feeling somewhat rootless, overwhelmed, ungrounded, and afraid about the prospect of losing something you’ve just gained or that you’ve been working toward with great enthusiasm. Just remember, the premise of this entire month’s forecast is about those natural challenges that come up while you’re working toward your dreams and goals. By next month, April 19th, the Sun will finally move into your home sign of Taurus, and if you’ve stuck with the process, then you’ll likely find that you’re wiser and stronger for the wear! And if things don’t work out, then simply trust that it’s not meant to be. Trials teach us inner strength. Trials prepare us for the road ahead. When something is taken away, we are left with more of what we are and less of what we are not!
