This month is something of an energy splash for you, Sagittarius, with impulses fanning out in all directions, some future-oriented and some holding back, some outer-oriented and some inner. It is undoubtedly a confusing time. The first two weeks of April are the heaviest going, especially as Mercury turns retrograde on the 9th and with the dynamic Full Moon of April 10th. With the current inner planet retrogrades, this is a time of deep introspection and of looking into all your motivations, in particular the direction in which you would like to take your next steps. This involves career and profession, but is not limited to this area. The biggest question is how to keep your head above water and the best response is to look inside yourself for the answers that you seek. Your intuition is extremely powerful this month, and will tell you true in ways that simple cause-and-effect logic will not.

The potentials for you this April are truly vast, and yet the challenges on the road to your success are also worthy opponents. This month’s astrology started with a New Moon in Aries just a few days prior to the beginning of the month, and this configuration suggests that your creatives juices are currently an infinite wellspring. Tapping into them may however be quite unpredictable as your inspiration comes in fits and spurts. The quality of the astrological weather at this time presents you with antithetical energies. These say stop, then go, some say expand, others contract, and within all of this there is much inward turning for you to really reflect on how these outer cosmic dances of polarity are being mirrored by your own inner space.

In regard to your creative process and self-expression, you could bump up against blockage in these areas. If you do find yourself in resistance, perhaps your feelings of limitation or constriction are actually an invitation for you to reframe in some way your relationship to structure and boundAries. In order to harness the massive creative downloads, brilliant epiphanies, inventions, and innovations that are waiting in the wings of your awareness this month, you may need to reorganize the beliefs you hold around structure and responsibility. It is actually within the medicine of “task master” Saturn that you may find the creative liberation you seek. It is indicated that prioritizing your creative process through the principle of structure could be the key to opening the flow valve. This could appear in many different manifestations, but some practical examples you could play with are: committing to a daily creative task; setting aside very specific times in your schedule to be creative and sticking to them; or writing down the goals you have in the area of creativity.

With Venus in her retrograde cycle through the 15th, you could be continuing to re-evaluate your relationships from your formative experiences, and perhaps changing your attitudes about your parents and siblings, especially in terms of how they appear as internalized pieces of yourself. Ultimately this process is about forgiveness, and learning to love yourself more. By the Full Moon on the 10th, Mercury will have stationed retrograde, also, and the influences of this mid-month period suggest a challenging but also incredibly fruitful time for you. The energies are still somewhat volatile, but your soul’s intent and highest calling are no doubt knocking on your door, as well. There is SO much potential to really expand into new territory with your dreams and goals, yet this will require tremendous focus and fortitude on your part. Surprising and even jarring events could trigger your wounding, reactivity, and anger, and there is always the pitfall of succumbing to old habits or patterns. The invitation is to tend to your inner wounding and emotions in a way that promotes safety, healing, and growth all around. It helps when you can allow any disruptions or feelings of being stirred up to be your best teachers and allies. When outer events trigger your internal wounds, you are being asked to become bigger than the storm that forms inside of you – to witness your thoughts as they spin your emotions. Can you find a perspective and feeling that is more vast? One that feels genuinely beautiful, full of compassion and kindness for all the places in yourself and in others that are hurting? See if you can build a bridge in your awareness between this expansive, good-feeling space, and the places within you that are painful. You can actively tend to your inner wounds as you would any other small, hurt child. Your love and compassion has the potential to heal yourself and those around you. It can also support you in stepping into more directly pursuing your goals and dreams, bringing you more fully and authentically to this world.
